SWE CNM Scholarships
The Central New Mexico Section has endowed FOUR (!) SWE scholarships for students over it's lifetime. These scholarships provide opportunities for students pursuing a STEM degree. Click the yellow headers below for a link to apply.
Pioneers Scholarship
Established in 2004 to provide a $2000 scholarship to collegiate sophomore, junior, or senior. US citizenship & SWE membership required. Must attend a university located in NM: New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, New Mexico State University, University of New Mexico. Renewable for 3 years.
Reentry Scholarship
Established in 2005 to provide $1750 US citizenship & SWE membership required. Must attend a university located in NM: New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, New Mexico State University, University of New Mexico. Reentry for sophomore, junior, senior, graduate. If there is no qualified candidate, the Scholarship Committee can award a second CNM-Pioneers Scholarship. Renewable for 6 years.
Ellen Hippeli Scholarship
The Ellen Hippeli Memorial Scholarship was established in 2015 by the Central New Mexico Section. Incoming freshmen that are US citizens attending a US university is eligible to apply. Nuclear engineering majors are preferred but not required.
Colleen Conley Scholarship
For high schoolers graduating and intending to pursue a STEM degree. This is a renewable scholarship eligible for 4 years if the awardee meets the criteria on an annual basis.
